Crap, crap and more crap

It is my hope the rest of you have not been assailed with this. I have seen this identical post twice on Facebook and apparently it is the LIB talking point in preparation for when the President comes out of the bunker post Labor Day and puts his new spin on why the folks that work in this country must continue to support those that don't. This is the post.

no one should die because they cannot afford health care, and no one should go broke because they get sick.


My reply to both instances of my encountering this has been the same. No one should be subject to an aggregate tax rate of 57%. This is a number recently offered by the Heritage Foundation regarding what real tax rates (state, local and federal combined) will be in states like New Jersey, New York and California should Obama Care come to fruition.

While we have the obligation to be charitable but that does not give free license to the Government to dig in to our legacy to our children and grandchildren to pay for it.

Anyone remember the story of the ant and the grasshopper?
