And speaking of enabling behavior

Its one thing to love your kids. Its clearly another to enable extremely bad behavior. Its things like this that keep Juvenile Bureaus across the country very busy places.

From the Associated Press:

GREENVILLE, S.C. — Authorities are searching for a 555-pound South Carolina teen who disappeared with his mother.

Police say 14-year-old Alexander Draper is with 49-year-old Jerri Gray. She faces a charge of violating a custody order.

Greenville County Sheriff's Lt. Shea Smith says the teen is considered to be at a critical stage of health risk but could not provide details about his medical condition.

The state Department of Social Services contacted deputies Tuesday after Gray failed to make a scheduled court appearance so officials could begin investigating claims of child neglect and endangerment.

A judge ordered the teen be taken into protective custody once he's found.
