Heroic Priests

Anyone who has been a visitor to my blog should notice that in the side bar I have a picture of Father Vincent Capodano a Medal of Honor Winner from the Vietnam War. There is a link embedded in his photo that leads to a web site about efforts to have him named a Saint.

While visiting McNamara's Blog, my favorite Catholic History site I read a story about Father Emil Kapaun a US Army Chaplain that died in a Prisoner of War Camp during the Korean War. It is an interesting and heartwarming story about another good man living his life as a Priest to the fullest, or as I like to say, he proudly walked the walk.

Please visit the link and read his story of heroism. Its a good reminder of the reason for Memorial Day.
