During today's news cruise I found a number of links on the Drudge Report detailing how, through government bidding, a portion of the stimulus money is being spent. By clicking on this link you will see a bid award for repairing a door at an Air Force base to the tune of around 1.5 million dollars. There is a nice sampling of government excess over at Drudge so be sure to check it out. And despite my fervent hopes I would not be surprised if the door to be repaired was actually of this variety.
