This is not funny

So have any of you been wondering how the government in tough economic times is exercising prudent thrift? I think I culled the answer from today's Drudge Report. Apparently the Bureau of the Public Debt is trying to find contractors to provide humor in the workplace. You read it right. The US Government wants to hire comedians.

Not satisfied with having a full time comedian on the staff of the US Senate (Al Franken for those of you who forgot) or a clown as Vice President it is apparently necessary to put comedians on the payroll. Trillions of dollars in new debt. Now there is something to chuckle about. The job posting from the Government website is here.
