In the what are they smoking department....

From a story on Breitbart.com today:

White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel told The New York Times Obama intends to use the news conference as a "six-month report card," to talk about "how we rescued the economy from the worst recession" and the legislative agenda moving forward, including health care and energy legislation.

Think about this statement. How we rescued the economy. Clearly this is a statement crying out for a reality check. Everyone, and I mean everyone I know from every possible strata of the economy is cutting back on expenses. There is not one extra dime to be had and yet this tool has the audacity to take credit for an economic recovery that apparently exists only in his vivid imagination. I cannot think of one working family that I know that has not been affected by the current recession. For that matter I cannot think of one charitable or civic organization that has not felt the crunch either. Yet this space cadet seems to think everything is just fine. Someone needs to bridge the gap between fantasy and reality for the Obama White House and it does not appear to me that this Rhodes Scholar is the guy for the job.

At least when the “Saved” economy tanks, because it will. They can’t say Bush left it to them. They saved that one.
